    Great Arcane Order

The longest and greatest of Allurian magical organisation. The Great Arcane Order stands as an organisation that governs the usage of magic throughout Allurian, conducts research into magic as well as helps teach magic to Allurian as well as set up and maintain structure and organisation of various arcane theory, schools, rules and much more. Without them, many would agree magic would never have prospered as it has.

    Orcs

Though commonly associated with violence and brutality, the orcs are a relatively civilised race, having families, jobs and somewhat good relations with the humans. However, this can only be said for a few tribes, for in the tens of thousands of scattered tribes, there are bound to be bands of orcs that still slaughter and kill. their lack of unity and their inability to use technology has made them often an insignificant threat to the major alliances.

    Goliath

Goliaths are descendents of the dying race of giants. They are huge, study creatures who dwell in the mountains in tribes. Their bodies look carved from stones and are an imposing form. They often wander. Some work as mercenaries while others choose more violent paths acting as pilagers and bandits. Most view them as fools and idiots who are there for brainless muscles, others view them as violent creatures and live in fear. History: The origin of the goliath is one of the most mysterious and called “the most interesting” part of their history. Some claim that they are the scions of giants and humans or dwarves, others say the descend from the earth genasi. Yet most agree that they must have something to do with giants which are now dwindling in numbers.

    Tiefrlings

Tieflings are arguably the most reviled race in all of Allurion. Neither Men or Dwarfs treat them with any respect or basic decency. Even Elfs, Lizardfolk and Orcs are given far more respect in the major cities of Allurion than Tierflings. It is said that they are a cursed race who were humans who struck a dark bargain with some of the foulest entities in Allurion’s history. Many still believe that such a mark still remains. While most live in a separate kingdom of their now shattered kingdom, those that chose to live in the major cities of Allurion find themselves hated and often the target of hate crimes and are made easy scapegoats. Tieflings are forced to be highly self reliant and the small communities found inside Allurion’s major cities often have close bonds.

    Dragonborn

Dragonborn are as the name suggests dragons in a humanoid form. Small in number, they are often found in small clans. Humans often tolerate these creatures for the horrors of the first Dragon War are but a distant memory. They are however reviled by the dwarfs for them, the memory of the suffering and horror the dragons had caused are still ever present in their minds. They were said to be the descendents of the dragons which were defeated and punished following the first dragon war. Some have speculated a connection between them and the lizardfolk which may explain a certain sense of pity that dragonborn often express at the lizardfolk. Dragonborn also have an uneasy relationship with the elfs who have formed a deep connection with dragons which the dragonborn take great offence to. Dragonborn are creatures who above all else, despise failure and are unable to tolerate the slightest of mistakes. The only exception would be their close kin, the Dragons, whom some hold in reverence, most in envy, and again most in hatred.
