Building Statblocks

Building Statblocks

When building statblocks in LOR, enemy defence, DC, attack rolls, saves, checks and damage bonuses follow a recommended linear scaling. This is recommended only for enemies you intend to be a challenge or greater,

Power Score

A Power Score is calculated by the following assuming you follow the modifier table for stats.

Power Score =  Level x Actions/2

Thus a party’s power score is = to their level x 1.5 x no in party

Actions

To ensure one side does not fully control the action economy. Use the Power Score formula to give bosses more actions. If a creature has 4 or more actions, it is recommended you split them into 3/1 or 2/2 action splits.
