Mood

Mood

The GM determines three mood which usually occurs during story events. In certain situations the GM may even decide for different moods for different players. Players are encouraged to ask for mood changes if they feel it is appropriate. 

When no mood is given, the default state is neutral. Some legendary actions require specific moods to be used. 

Moods can be tied to a party or a player and the GM decides which or who is an exception.

Emboldened:

This symbolizes a surge of morale or hope. Often assigned after major victories, overcoming odds, or receiving aid that shifts the tide of a quest.

In this state, the party gains 1 legendary point after every long rest.

Neutral

The player/party is generally in a calm state. This is the default state,

In this state, there are no effects

Desperation

The party/player is in a desperate state. Rationality fights with rash emotion. Desperation is triggered when the party suffers overwhelming loss, faces hopeless odds, or experiences emotional devastation (e.g., a key NPC death, a failed mission, or betrayal).

When the party enters this state, they gain 3 Legendary Points, discarding excess. After every long rest, they lose 1 Legendary Point.
