Prestige
Shadowblades come from many places.. Some are agents of Shadowfell's creatures, otheres are agents and warriors of the goddess of the Shaodw Ashenya, others are drow elite agents known as shades. To be a shadow blade requires a special connection in the realm of shadows. Be it spending influenced by Shadowfell creatures, being a dedicated and esteemed member of Ashenya's clerics and agents, part of the Raven's Hand(Ashenya's secret organisation) or being a esteemed and capable drow who is deemed deserving a drow. Note: For the spellcasting class, the subclass must have been focused on illusion or shadows. For example Shadow Domain or Illusion School or Shaodw Stalker and character must have shown dedication to shadows both literally and morally. Being neither whollys selfish and bad, nor fully compassionate and caring

Features

L2 — Blade of Shadows

Select a weapon to be your blade of shadows. This weapon must have the agile, finesse and the versatile or one handed property. 

This weapon can only be changed after 1 week of downtime. 

If your select it to be a magical weapon, the GM rules if the weapon fits a shadowblade. In general, most weapons, especially divine, primal related weapons are not fit for a shaodwblade unless specifically stated

When attacking a target from shadows or darkness with a melee attack, your blade of shadows does bonus 2D6 psyhic damage on-hit/

L2 — Shadowblade Dedication

If you do not have your blade of shadows equipped or wearing medium or heavy armor. You do not benefit or are able to use any of the shadowblade features
L2 — Shadow Step

You can attempt to Shadow Step for 2 actions, using any spell slot of your choice. You must be in dim light or darkness and must teleport to a place that is also in dim light or darkness.  You teleport 30ft, or 60ft if you use a 3rd level slot or higher, or 200ft if you use a 5th level slot or higher

L3 — Shadow Kin

You become so close to the shadows it melds with you. When in darkness or in dim light, you gain advantage on stealth checks. 

In addition you gain 250ft of darkvision

L4 — Shadow Blur

When you successful defend against an attack or parry an attack, you can use shadow step as a reaction even if you are not standing in dim light or darkness.  

L5 — Cloak of Darkness

You can spend 2 actions to give yourself cloak of darkness once per short rest. Alternatively, you can expand a 3rd level or higher spell slot.

You make a performance check to determine how long it will last. The DC is 20 + half your level.

You create 20ft radius of darkness around you. Darkvision range is reduced to a quarter when peering through it. 

L6 — Shadow Dance

You can do the following for free once per long rest, or expend a 4th level or higher spell slot and 5 martial points. 

You gain a bonus of 1 to defence, increasing to 5 while in dim light or darkness. Ranged attacks have disadvantage when targetting you. 

In addition, you can use shadow step as a free action instead of a reaction.

Spring From the Shadows (2 Action)

5 Points, Using a Blade of Shadows

From a place you are hidden and is dim or in darkness, you dash 45ft or less towards an enemy. Make an attack towards the enemy and you are immune from any reactions. Then after the attack, you can dash up to 45ft to a area which must be dimly lit or in darkness and can make a stealth check as part of the action.





L8 — Shadow Illusion

You gain this 6th  level spell which is always known to you. Yoi can cast it without a spell slot once per long rest.



You create a shadowy illusion of a creature or a stationary object, but the illusion can exist only in an area of dim light or darkness. The spell ends if the illusion is ever out of an area of dim light or darkness. If the illusion is an object, it must fit within a 20-foot burst, and the creature can be of any size up to Gargantuan, filling a 20-foot-by-20-foot space.


The object or creature appears to animate naturally; it even generates the appropriate sounds and smells, and feels believable to the touch, though its coloring is always muted. 


This spell last for 1 minute, requires sustain 2 and can go up to 100ft away from you. As part of the sustain action, you can make your illusion makw an attack to a creature within 10ft. They must make a will save vs your spellcaster DC, on a fail they take 4D6 psyhic damage or double on a critical fail.

L9 — See the Unseen

When you look for foes, you can catch even the slightest cues, such as their minute movements or the shifting of air currents on your skin. Even when you fail the seek action, you automatically sense any undetected creatures in the area where you’re Seeking, making them merely hidden to you. 

L10 — Shadowblade mastery

You gain the following martial mastery


Shadow Onslaught (3 Action + Reaction)

8 Points

Using a Blade of Shadows. You select a target within 5ft of you. You can make 1 attack against the target as part of this mastery. For the next 3 turns, each time you are targetted by your target, you shadow step immediatly, gaining a +5 to defence.  You can also shadow step if you make an attack against the target.


Shade Strike(2 action)

8 Point, up to 7 levels worth of spell slot, using a blade of shadow. 


When undetected and in dim light or darkness, you make an attack against a creature within 5ft.  You gather the power of shadows to make a devestating attack. You make an attack that forgos any sneak attack bonus to do an additional 8D8 +20% of target’s max HP in damage.

L11 — Cast a Shaldw

Take your spell DC value x2. This area is always considered dim light. You can turn this off and on at will.
